  • Competitive pay rates – £14.40/hr* for care and travel hours, (approx £27k pa for 36 hr wk (including some travel time between calls) subject to:
    • having a full driving licence and use of a reliable car.
    • working our Core Hours, i.e: ‘every other weekend + at least three 7am starts + three 10pm finishes over a 2-week rota
    • flexibility to work in Church Stretton, Craven Arms and surrounding areas
    • completion of Induction programme (4-12 weeks depending on experience)
  • paid travel time & mileage between home and first/last calls as well as between calls  
  • We also offer: up to 5 weeks paid annual leave plus statutory holidays (pay is at premium rate if worked + a paid day off); bonus and ‘refer a friend’ schemes; free uniforms & DBS checks (subject to in-house rules); plus wellbeing support.

*if you can't meet all our criteria, you may still qualify for our mid rates of £13.00 - £13.75/hr. We can explain when we talk.

What experience and qualifications do I need? You don't need any care qualifications or previous experience. All you do need is the qualities of kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness; and a passion to make a positive difference in people's lives. You must also be reliable, someone your colleagues & clients can depend on.

Care is about getting to know clients in their own homes, their likes/dislikes, engaging in their past life & experiences and from this knowledge developing a rapport - so you'll notice small changes and can adapt support. Care is so varied it can be lending a helping hand, whether that's within their home or to get out for a walk, shopping etc; helping with personal care such as showering and dressing;  assisting with eating and drinking; and with medication; sometimes its just chatting over a cuppa.

Helping several clients a day is hard work – but knowing you’ve made a real difference in someone’s life makes it all worth-while 😄.
